Training Log - Insomnia and NunSlaughter

I've been up for awhile now - for about 28 hours. I am not one of those people that only needs to "recharge my batteries" for a couple hours. I am not one to brag about how little sleep I need. Nope. I am a lover of long naps and longer slumbers. I can crash out just about anywhere (this is something that I picked up while at the Air Force Academy; you'd be surprised at where/how you can sleep when you are there.) Needless to say, I'm tired. At about 4:00am this morning I was fed up. I had tried all the usual things - whiskey, vicodin, reading Supertraining (I'm kidding...I wouldn't read that), movies, video games, quiet. But I think I was too worked up after finally winning a long, two month battle over the rights of my book. So I decided to train. Deadlift - 510 training max Squat - 5 sets of 10 reps GM - 5 sets of 10 reps I did NOT consume anything during the ever important post-workout carbohydrate window - I sat up, watched an old Sherlock Holmes movie (Robert Duvall as Dr. Watson) and waited until the family was up.  Then it was Bob Evans time. 11 days until surgery.  I've got all the potions and witches' brew (no, not the Miles Davis LP) for my recovery.  Hard to train knowing a long layoff is in the very near future. Check out the video below - one of the best and catchiest chorures EVER. Love this stuff. Get the 2nd Edition 5/3/1 Ebook Here 5/3/1 Hard Copy on Amazon TNation Blood and Chalk
