Massive Conspiracy To End All Weakness

Massive Conspiracy To End All Weakness

In the last 13 weeks I also purloined the framework from Jim Wendler to construct THE strongest version of myself to date. Following a program outlined from his book I've been able to go Beyond what was once the outer reaches of my capabilities in the weight room. The ensuing words are not to recap my woes in the pursuit of adding more lbs on the bar than I have previously, its a recollection of the mindset awarded to me by having done just exactly that.

Training After Illness

1. I think people need to understand the difference between being sick and being ill.  Being sick and training is fine - being ill and training isn't.  I'm sure you've seen the multitudes of weak individuals who stop training when they are hurt; it's very similar. Being hurt and being injured are very different.  So suck it up and learn to differentiate between the two.

Why Train?

Why Train?

I really have no goal or specific performance aspirations as they don't peak my interest. What I want your opinion on is, what is the reason for me to do this??  Am I just going to be a good "worker outer"?   I love lifting weights but at some point you have to ask yourself, what's the point?

Life and 5/3/1 Training

I've done many versions according to what I was looking for goal-wise or what I was doing in life at the time. I am not going to go over how each version worked out but they all lead to me increasing strength over the long haul. One example I will bring up is the fact that I followed Jack Shit for 8 months...3 of those cycles I didnt go for any rep records at all, I trained twice a week. Bodybuilding, Being Independent and the Importance of Training Partners

Help a Friend Get Stronger

It’s that time again and everyone you know is ready to make a change. More times than not, this means they want to get their ass in a gym and get in shape. Well, I have no idea what “in shape” means to everyone but 99% of people fail for the following reasons:

Why Men of Action are Better

But there is another thing that makes a person with passion so damn awesome: They tend to stay the hell out of your business. This is because they are too damn busy to gossip, to force their shit down your throat. Their ego isn't so big that they claim to know what to do with your money, your time, your beliefs. Hell, there are actually adults out there telling OTHER ADULTS what words they can or cannot say. The ego on people these days. Unbelievable.

Advice to Football Players

"Read a book and go to class. You don't need to be a genius to do both of these things. People get VERY upset when you have interest outside of what they peg you to be. It makes them uncomfortable because they usually suck at everything. This is good. Make them upset by being better."

Hardcore Training

A few weeks back it was very cold - the garage was numbing, the bars hurt my hands and the wind kept blowing snow into my face while I lifted. Just one of those days. And all I could think...
